MOTS-C is a 16-amino acid mitochondrial-derived peptide encoded in the mitochondrial genome. This unique peptide is studied for its role in cellular metabolism and mitochondrial function. Researchers investigate how this mitochondrial peptide influences metabolic homeostasis and cellular energy production in various experimental models.
Scientific research on MOTS-C focuses on its effects on metabolic regulation and mitochondrial function. Studies examine its influence on insulin sensitivity, glucose metabolism, AMPK activation, and cellular energy balance. Researchers investigate its potential role in age-related metabolic changes, mitochondrial biogenesis, and cellular stress resistance in laboratory settings.
Prepare bacteriostatic water (or sterile water for immediate use), insulin syringe, and alcohol swabs.
Wipe the rubber stopper of the peptide vial with an alcohol swab and allow to dry for 30 seconds.
Draw the desired volume of bacteriostatic water into the syringe. Inject slowly down the side of the vial — never directly onto the powder.
Swirl gently or roll between palms. Never shake vigorously as this can damage the peptide structure and reduce potency.
Solution should be clear with no visible particles. If cloudiness persists, allow more time to dissolve before use.
Store reconstituted solution at 2-8°C (refrigerator). Use within 14-28 days depending on solvent used.
